The Forgotten Solution
Until recently, Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) have been overlooked, forgotten, disregarded as a sustainable climate solution, albeit accounting for one-third of the climate solution. In fact, NCS was only 1% of the climate conversation and received only 3% of funding.
Brief: Galvanise a moment at the Global Climate Action Summit, San Francisco, to raise awareness of nature as a forgotten climate solution.

THE CAMPAIGN IDENTITY
Challenge: The intention was for this campaign to reach global audiences of a diverse age range and professional background—from influencers to government officials. It was also imperative that it complimented the on-the-ground branding of the Global Climate Action Summit.
ON THE GROUND ACTIVATIONS
THE FILM PREMIERE
The Nature4Climate Coalition organised an evening of keynote speakers, including Paul Polman, Former CEO of Unilever, to celebrate the power of nature and natural climate solutions. After a day of meetings at the Global Climate Action Summit, this evening event had to be distinguishable from the day sessions, so a film premiere creative wrapper was created, complete with an exclusive sustainable seeded paper invitation, a step and repeat wall, and the launch of 'The Forgotten Solution' teaser.
PROJECT 195 INFLUENCER INITIATIVE
The climate conversation was not exclusive to decision makers at the Global Climate Action summit, a broader audience needed to be reached. This was achieved through the Project 195 Influencer Initiative, where nature photography influencers were chosen from each country that had signed the Paris Climate Agreement (195 to be exact), and asked to take an iconic photograph of their country's most treasured tree. Each influencer was gifted with a ribbon to tie around their tree, as a reminder that nature is a critical part of the solution to climate change.
